2012 Training Schedule
As part of our Winter training, we started our indoor pool practice.

Winter Indoor Pool Practice
The foundation for any sport starts with proper technique. Pool practices focus on the technique specific for dragon boating. Paddling along side a pool allows for more individual coaching.
- Time:
- Friday evenings
- January 13, 2011 - March 30, 2011
- Practices are 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Doors open at 6:30 PM
- Location:
- Stuyvesant High School/Battery Park City Community Center at 345 Chamber Street
- What to Bring:
- ID (required for entry)
- Change of clothes
- Towels (shower is available)
- Lock (Locker is available)
- Water to stay hydrated
Group Runs
Running is a good form of cardio-vascular exercise. We run to improve our heart and lung capacity, improving on our cardio-vascular endurance. Running helps train our mental strength by teaches us not to forgive up until the race is over. No one is too slow or too fast, we encourage each other and support each other to make positive progression.

Winter Strength Training
In addition to improving our cardio-vascular endurance, we do full body workouts to train for strength. Weight training and paddler focus routine are used to prepare us for the boat.
Outdoor Water Practice
We will resume our outdoor water practices at World's Fair Marina beginning April 2012.
